Botox Montreal

Botox® Cosmetic is the most famous brand of neuromodulators, therefore most of the people relate to the wrinkle relaxer procedure as Botox treatment. At Centre Esthétique Montréal we use a variety of neuromodulators: Botox® Cosmetic, Dysport®, and Nuceiva® customized for your needs at the recommendation of our physician.

The treatment process

Neuromodulators known as wrinkle relaxers, or Botox® Cosmetic, Dysport®, and Nuceiva®, are prescribed medicines that are injected into the facial muscles that cause wrinkles and fine lines in order to relax those muscles.

Our consultations are performed by our injecting doctor, assessing your skin, chatting through your medical history, all to ensure you are suitable and answer any questions you may have regarding the treatment.

The treatment is quick, simple, and relatively painless, with no downtime.

What is Botox?

Botox is a neuromodulator, a wrinkle relaxing injection of botulinum toxin commercially known as Botox® Cosmetic, Dysport®, and Nuceiva® that are used to treat wrinkles, frown lines and crow’s feet.

What to expect?

Your skin will appear smoother, younger, and more rejuvenated thanks to the components in the neuromodulators, which block the signal between muscle and nerve and lessen the capacity of the muscle to contract and create new wrinkles.

The results will be visible in within a few days, and two weeks after, you will attain the maximum result that will last up to 6 months.

Yes. Botox® Cosmetic, Dysport®, and Nuceiva® are a prescription only medicine therefore a consultation will be performed by our injecting doctor and depending on the recommendations you will have the option to start your treatment right after the consultation.

Is Botox safe?

Botox injections are a safe, non-surgical way to maintain a more youthful appearance. The botulinum toxin has been approved by Health Canada for a variety of uses.

What are the possible side effects?

Although rare, side effects as pain, headache, swelling or bruising at the injection site can occur temporary.

What is the difference between Botox and dermal fillers?

Botox temporarily paralyses muscles, which stops the development or progression of dynamic wrinkles like frown lines and smile lines. On the other hand, dermal fillers are materials that are injected into the skin to restore volume, which corrects and improves the appearance of wrinkles.

What is the difference in between Botox® Cosmetic, Dysport®, and Nuceiva®?

The truth is that, in the end, they are all essentially the same. Since Botox has been on the market the longest, it is the most commonly available option; but, if you are one of our patients, we may suggest an alternative if we believe it will be better for you. So please visit us! We can discuss choices and design a treatment strategy that will enable you to get the look you desire.
